BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WPIX) – A New York City mother who died of ovarian cancer is giving a gift to thousands of people after her death.Casey McIntyre, 38, of Brooklyn, announced her own passing on her social media accounts in a message written before her death. The now-viral post includes a link to a fundraiser to pay off other people's medical debt. "A note to my friends: if you’re reading this I have passed away. I’m so sorry," McIntyre wrote on X (formerly Twitter). In a separate post, she explained that she had "arranged to buy up others' medical debt and then destroy the debt. AUSTIN (KXAN) — After a nationwide safety review, the Federal Aviation Administration said Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will be the first of nearly 100 facilities to receive new tower simulator systems in an effort to boost Air Traffic Control safety.In an announcement Friday, the FAA said it's taking immediate action on recommendations from the review. CLAYTON, Mo. - An out-of-state bail reform organization is now in the spotlight, following its actions in helping free a man from jail who is now accused as the Clayton killer.Monday morning’s Clayton murder is now solved. Police and prosecutors say, with 18-year-old Trenell Johnson in custody. Court records say Johnson had already been in custody for allegedly stealing a car, leading police in a pursuit, and using his gun to threaten an officer. Court records further revealed he was freed when an organization called The Bail Project paid $3,000 to get him out.The Bail Project is based in southern California. It’s not the first time an out-of-town group has freed a criminal suspect prior to a reported repeat of violence. ST. LOUIS - Robert Abu Abdul Rasheed, a 76-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, was reported missing nearly two weeks ago. Concerns are growing for his well-being. As of Friday night, Rasheed had yet to be found. Police have issued an Endangered Silver Advisory in his disappearance. “We love him to death,” said Latonya Reed, Rasheed’s niece. “We’re looking for him. We’re worried about him.”Police said Rasheed was last seen in the 2700 block of Henrietta Street in the City of St. Louis, near S. Jefferson and Lafayette Avenues, on Nov. 4. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - There’s good reason to be thankful this weekend, especially if you drive the Jefferson Barracks Bridge daily.MODOT is preparing to restore traffic to both westbound and eastbound lanes this weekend after a year and a half of various closures along the JB bridge."They are working hard on that [bridge],” Kurt Jarvis an area resident said.In spring 2022, MoDOT began rehab work on the bridge fixing uneven lanes that had been cracked and worn down over time.
